Asko Washer E13 Error Code

VERIFIED

Error code E13
Appliance Washer

What E13 is telling you

The UKS stability control system watches the drum, and when it detects an unbalanced load it is activated and E13 appears. Manuals for the WM76S and the WM76-86 series describe the fault as unevenly distributed laundry.

What you will notice

The program time display flashes and does not count down until the load has been redistributed.

Why a load ends up lopsided

  • Very small loads, such as one towel, a sweater or a bathrobe, are practically impossible to spread evenly in the drum.
  • Items of awkward shape are just as hard to balance.

What to do, step by step

  1. Open the door and loosen anything tangled or stuck together, then redistribute the laundry by hand.
  2. With a small amount of laundry, either select Drain or Spinning after loosening it, or put in more laundry and restart the program.
  3. Repeat the program and see whether E13 returns; if it does, a technician visit is the next step.

In extreme cases the program can finish without the spin cycle.

Neighbouring codes

E12 is a motor error, and E11 concerns water overflowing; check which one your display shows.

Washer service in San Francisco

If E13 keeps coming back after you have rebalanced the drum, our Asko washer repair page explains what we cover in the Bay Area, and (415) 993-3547 reaches us directly. Tell us the code, your model (WM76S or another WM76-86 unit) and which redistribution steps you already tried.

Model compatibility: Asko reuses codes across series and model years, so E13 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
